Women’s Center of Greater Lansing to install outdoor personal needs pantry.
The public can now access free hygiene supplies outside of office hours.

Lansing, Michigan: Women’s Center of Greater Lansing today announced the installation of an outdoor personal needs’ pantry. Megan and Will Dowell of Do-Well Remodel generously donated their time and funds to build a personal needs’ pantry in front of our building at 1712 E. Michigan Ave. The pantry is available to anyone in need of personal hygiene products outside of business hours.

“The cost of feminine hygiene products is up nearly 10% and people in mid-Michigan are making tough decisions. ” says Rebecca Kasen, Executive Director at the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing. “With the installation of this outdoor pantry, we hope to relieve some of the burden.”

The pantry will be stocked with feminine hygiene products, shampoo, soap, and dental hygiene products. The products are donated by supporters and the community, and donations of those products are always welcome.

We invite members of the press and our community supporters to join us on December 13, 2022, at 10:30 am for our ribbon cutting ceremony. The ceremony will take place in front of our office at 1712 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912.

The Women’s Center of Greater Lansing is committed to providing valuable, innovative resources and services in an atmosphere that fosters mutual support, insight and growth for women of all backgrounds and ages as they strive to realize their own unique potential.

In order to donate to the pantry, our supporters can drop off unused hygiene products at our office or order from our Amazon or Target wishlists.
